Hand Crafting, Glazing and Firing the Ceramic Figurines

Step 1: Hand making the figurines

Step 2: Drying the ceramic figurines/pebbles for at least 4 days
Step 3: Glazing/Painting followed by firing the figurines twice 

Step 5: After final firing and figurines are ready. Freshly picked up from the kiln and waiting to cool down

Handmade Ceramic Duckie in Brandy Glass

The ceramic duckie is handmade using terracota clay and sits in a brandy glass. I love Fittonias which come in 14 species. I have picked a really pretty one, which is vibrant in contrasting red and green, round instead of the usual jagged edged leaves. They are really easy to keep and for this one, the soil is layered on top of coloured polymer jewels (which soak up extra water) and silver sand to make it more luxe. A pretty shell to give it the final special touch. Brandy glass is 9cm at the widest diameter and about 11.5cm in height.
